The Coax Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) or Drone will be a complete level 6 automation system offering unmatched capabilities in the Civilian Unmanned Aircraft Industry.
The autopilot being considered is currently capable of programmable missions via a simple web interface. As refinement continues we expect to achieve fully autonomous take off and landing and consequent significant reduction in skill levels required to operate the aircraft.
The Coax Unmanned Aircraft System will be able to change the way we approach Safety and Support in Agriculture, Coastal Safety, Disaster Relief and Emergency Support
The autopilot system can currently demonstrate operation using a frequency agile data link, ADS-B and compressed video data transmission.
Two variants of our unmanned helicopters are being considered. A basic single engine machine and a dual engine helicopter. With safety as our primary focus our dual engine unmanned aircraft will have a redundant autopilot, redundant flight control actuators and of course two engines.
Our performance figures have yet to be validated but we expect payloads of 200+ kg for the single engine and 250+ kg for the dual engine helicopter. Engineering forecasts predict 6 – 8 hrs flight time trading payload for fuel load.

Increased concerns by Aerial Agriculture pilots in regard to the hazardous nature of their job provides more reasons for CoaX to continue work building an unmanned helicopter suitable for Agricultural work.
